MMQB Writer Ranks Jordan Hicks as the 359th Best Player in the NFL… Stab Me With a Spoon

I will not get mad online… I will not get mad online… I will not get mad online… I will not get mad online… I will not get mad online… I will not…

I mean Jesus Christ how does a reputable website like the MMQB let this bullshit piece come out. It’s fine to think Jordan Hicks isn’t that great, you’d be wrong, but it’s okay if you don’t think he’s a really good middle linebacker, but to rank him this low shows a basic incompetency in “covering” the sport.

This is the ultimate “trying to act smart but actually I’m dumb as shit,” move by Andy Benoit who you can kindly @ here:

Go ahead, print out the article and kindly use it as toilet paper:

Here’s his reasoning… which doesn’t explain much and certainly doesn’t sound like the 359th player in the NFL

Rank
359

Jordan Hicks

STACK LB
There’s a patience and awareness in his game that you don’t see in a lot of young players. It would not be at all surprising if Hicks is a guy who improves steadily over the next three years and winds up having a very nice 10-year career.

Want some examples of players ranked ahead of Jordan Hicks on this list:

  • Mo Claiborne – widely regarded as a massive bust
  • Ryan Tannehill – LOL
  • Jermaine Gresham – 391 yards and 2 touchdowns last season
  • Rex Burkhead – 344 rushing yards last season
  • Vinny Curry – 2.5 sacks last season
  • Patrick Chung

Once again, this is a prime example of incompetency and dumbing down an audience. Anyone that watched any amount of football understands the player that Jordan Hicks is and getting mad online is not worth it over click-bait but Holy Shit is this thing infuriating.

What’s worse is that Jason Witten, who can’t even fucking move anymore, was ranked at 79, which was higher than Lane Johnson, Jordy Nelson, Demaryious Thomas, Amari Cooper and Alshon Jeffery. I get that Jason Witten is a future hall of famer but really, 79 for a good blocker with reliable hands? Na.

Your worst take of the week goes to Andy Benoit.
