What the Hell are the Eagles Going to Do?
Hey, what the hell are the Eagles up to? No one knows but Howie I hope.
With Ajayi gone the running back game looks thinner than our usual platoon of 129 backs. But with Corey Clement coming back, Wendell Smallwood playing surprisingly well (we’ll forget that huge drop), and maybe Darren Sproles coming back at some time, maybe it’ll be passable.

There are obviously talks of that Lev Bell guy but let’s be realistic for a second and assume Howie doesn’t get a low enough asking price for him. There are rumors out there that Howie has reached out to the Bills in a possible trade for Shady.
The #Eagles have reached out to the #Bills about a possible trade for LeSean McCoy, per source. Philly just lost RB Jay Ajayi for the season due to a torn ACL. McCoy spent the first 6 seasons of his career with the Eagles and is the franchise all-time leading rusher.

I don’t love the move but it’s not the worst. He’s in the middle of some controversy and he’s had the Lil Red Q next to his name on the bench of my fantasy team all season. I personally think Mark Ingram would be a good complement to our existing backs for a low price and will play his dick off in this, his contract year. He’s worth a 4th so we can use a 2nd or 3rd next season to draft a regular starting back for the future.
I mainly don’t love any trade for a running back because I don’t think it’s our biggest concern right now. It’s Rodney McLeod being out and Jalen Mills being born. They freed up $11 mil by restructuring Fletch’s contract before Ajayi got hurt and that means something. Were they shopping someone for the secondary? Or being preemptive about the boring offense?
Eagles restructured contract of Pro-Bowl DT Fletcher Cox on Friday, creating $6.5 million more of cap space this season and $11.7 million more next season, sources tell @mortreport and me. But Eagles have not pursued a trade for Le’Veon Bell and have no plans to, per sources.

The #Eagles now have a little over $11M of cap space according to our records per the restructure of Fletcher Cox.
In Week 7, Le’Veon Bell will cost $9.41M to acquire.
LeSean McCoy costs $4.28M to be acquired right now.

Whatever it is, Howie has been a little laid back hoping the team would step up and perform above their game like last year and, since they haven’t, it’s time for Howie with the good beard stubble to swoop in and save the day by fleecing someone else’s favorite team.
