Reports From Eagles Training Camp Are That Dallas Goedert Is Dead

The highlight of yesterdays open practice was veteran TE Zach Ertz hauling in three TD’s in red zone drills. What fans didn’t realize was why Ertz was getting so many reps. Turns out, we might have our answer based on todays early practice. Looks like Dallas Goedert might have injured his right arm.

A quick twitter search will have fans believing the ailment is a broken arm and that Goedert will miss significant time. It is Twitter, so everything has to be doomsday. The Eagles have neither confirmed or denied the rumors so theres no need to panic… yet. Early practice video from Dave Zangaro shows Dallas talking to coaches and touching his right arm.

From the video it does not look very serious. If the right arm was broken Dallas would be in a cast and definitely not dressed on the field. This look precautious to me. He might not be ready for rematch of Super Bowl 52 but luckily its still preseason. The dreams of running the double TE set are still alive and well in Philadelphia.

**UPDATE 11:45**

Reuben Frank has talked to Dallas and he says he should be back in practice within the next two days. The city can now breath a sigh of relief. It should be noted that this could still keep him away from New England. Now we wait to see what Doug has to say.

But, if he does have a broken arm, we will always have the memories of his one and only (preseason) game. Kudos to Dallas on lasting longer than Andrew Bynum and Frank Gore.
