Eagles Draft Two More Guys with Dreads, Assuring We Will Be Handed Back to Back Lombardi Trophies

Day 3 of the NFL draft has came and went and we can now officially say that Dallas couldn’t host quite like Philly did. Regardless, the Eagles spent the Saturday afternoon addressing the few holes they had in their roster by drafting young talent and I have to say, I AM PUMPED.

That’s right, in the 4th round of the draft, the Eagles got not one but TWO players with dreads. The road to repeating just got a whole lot easier with these acquisitions today.

I’ll be honest, I had no idea a member of the Pitt secondary could play in the CFL let alone the NFL because I do not recall a game this past year where they did not get absolutely torched by an opposing quarterback. As for Sweat, I knew this would be a steal for someone but any player who is quoted as saying “I almost lost my leg”, I think there is a slight cause for concern. So, here we are in the 4th round with two picks who have sizable question marks and then I throw on the game tape to see both guys have dreads. Ultimate game changer.

Throw out the combine numbers, throw out the college stats and throw out the game tape. Everyone knows that football players with dreads have an increased amount of swag and athletic ability. The addition of Sweat and Maddox for the Eagles was an absolute necessity after losing Legarette Blount in free agency. Now, with these two rookies to go along with Ronald Darby and Jay Ajayi, they mine as well get the team fitted for Super Bowl LIII rings while we’re at it.

We also drafted an Australian rugby player who has never played football before. So there’s that.
