A New Way Of Thinking Or Just Radio Silence By The Eagles?

Last off-season, the Eagles front office staff and coaching staff went missing. Like off the grid, no contact missing. It was something that had the Philadelphia media going crazy.

We had fans posting pictures of Howie Roseman coming out of the first class bathroom on a plane. Someone filed a missing person’s report for Doug Peterson. But, no-one could be reached or found.

During this period, the Eagles staff put together a winning formula that led to a Super Bowl victory. In their time of silence, people were calling for Roseman’s head, wanted to know why Doug Peterson couldn’t talk to the media, among other things.

However, the plan came together right and the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Therefore, are the Eagles doing the same thing again this off-season?

Other than the signings, the statement on Michael Bennett, and the release of Daryl Worley, what else have the Eagles given us? To be honest, like last year, when was the last time we heard from an Eagles staff member?

This so called “radio silence” could be the new way to run an organization. If you go silent, not one of your plans or thinkings can get out unless you want them too. Therefore, if the Eagles are working on something, they might not want it to get out.

Now, in this day and age, that is hard to accomplish. Just one slip up and boom that information is spread across the masses to reach everybody in the world. So, radio silence might actually be good in this day and age.

This is something that has been the Philly way of doing things over the past 5 years. Thinking outside the box to get ahead of the game.

Which leads me to believe the Eagles feel like they have a formal that works and they are sticking too it. This should bode well if the same winning formal shines through again and the Eagles have another stellar season.

Could the Eagles become the 1st team to repeat as Super Bowl Champions since the Patriots did accomplished that in 2004-2005? I sure hope so. I know and all Eagles fans agree that September 6th can’t come soon enough when we raise that Super Bowl banner for the 1st time.

One thing is for sure, we will know a little bit of what the Eagles plan is next Thursday after the 1st round of the NFL Draft. Will they trade down from the 32rd overall pick? Will they trade up from the 32rd overall? I guess we will find out next Thursday.

Its football season again and we can finally start talking about our beloved Eagles again. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
